Farmville Town Councilman J.J. “Jamie” Davis has announced his re-election bid to represent Farmville’s Ward E .
“I respectfully request the residents of Ward E to re-elect me on May 3 as their representative,” Davis said.
Davis currently serves as chairman of the finance and ordinance committee and a member of the asset and resources committee.
Davis is the owner of Custom Floors, a Farmville-based business, a member of the Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce, an active member of New Life Church and serves on the board of the Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA).
According to Davis, during his time on town council, the town’s long-term debt has been greatly reduced, providing the ability to move forward, update infrastructure and develop new projects.
“Equally important has been the intentional strengthening of town relationships with each other, Longwood University, state legislators and other various boards and organizations,” said Davis.
“It is vital to our community to continue developing healthy relationships and forging forward together while remaining fiscally responsible and being willing to make tough decisions in the best interest of the citizens of our town.”
