No one was injured after a house in the 2200 block of Cumberland Road, Route 45, was riddled with bullets on Monday night.
According to Capt. Dennis Ownby of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported at around 11 p.m. while a man, two women and a child were inside.
“Apparently unknown individuals approached the house by vehicle [and] fired a number of shots at the residence,” he said.
More than a dozen shots hit the brick home, he said. “Some rounds penetrated the residence, but not all of them.”
“There [were] numerous holes in the outside of the brick,” Ownby said. “Several went through doors and windows into the house,” he said.
There are no suspects and no description of a suspect vehicle is available, Ownby said.
