Phyllis Ann Griffin Meinhard, 69, of Dillwyn died Monday, January 4, 2016.  She was born April 12, 1946 in Farmville, a daughter of the late Jess and Virginia Ruth Griffin.  She was a retired supervisor for Nationwide Insurance.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Griffin.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Layne Edwards (Walter “Junie Bug”); her son, Bradley C. Layne Jr. (Leisa); sister, Patricia Ann Armes; two brothers, Billy Jo Griffin and James Allen Griffin; three grandchildren, Lance Dandridge (Rachel), Dylan Dunkum and Walter Edwards, III and one great-grandson, Aiden Dandridge.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
