Miller will write new Buckingham column

Buckingham County native Janet Miller has been named columnist for The Buckingham Bulletin, a weekly column that will feature submitted events and other news items across Buckingham.

The column will appear in The Herald’s Life section, beginning on Friday, Jan. 29. Miller is a retired educator from the public school system, and currently works part time as an assistant registrar in the Buckingham Elections Office.

“We’re excited to bring this well-known Buckingham resident and native on board,” said Jordan Miles, The Herald’s managing editor. “I encourage people to reach out to her to submit their events and happenings going on in Buckingham that will be read by thousands in print and online.”

“Janet will be a good addition to our column lineup,” said Marge Swayne, The Herald’s lifestyles editor. “I look forward to her weekly contributions.”

Miller lived in Germany for many years, and is currently active in the Buckingham County Chamber of Commerce.

She enjoys writing, reading, poetry and oil painting.
