Buckingham County High School senior basketball standout Leon Ragland hit his 1,000th point on Wednesday, Jan. 6, in the Knights’ game against Amelia County High School. The last time a Buckingham player hit the 1,000-point mark was in the 2009-2010 basketball season, when girls varsity player Shanice Miles earned the accomplishment.
