Longwood Center for the Visual Arts will hold its 14th annual Valentine’s Day Workshop, “Art to Your Heart’s Content,” on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
As love songs fill the air, children will have the opportunity to participate in multiple art activities that embrace historic Valentine’s Day traditions.
Art projects include flower-making, hand-crafted and stamped envelopes, decorating hearts, weaving yarn knots, creating your own mailbox, hand tracing, vintages valentines, and design your own valentines. There will also be face painting and a reading corner.
This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required. Supplies and skilled volunteers will be on hand (children must be accompanied by an adult). Art to Your Heart’s Content is part of a series of Free Family Workshops offered by LCVA.
Workshops are designed to bring the family together in an enriching and creative environment to celebrate annual events throughout the year. This workshop is sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital.
