Santa Claus will be at the red caboose in downtown Farmville Saturday and again Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the High Bridge Plaza at the intersection of Main Street and High Bridge Trail (bring a camera to capture the moment).
According to John Burton, Farmville Downtown Partnership’s program manager, “Events like this and the recent Community Tree Lighting help showcase Farmville’s amazing downtown district and are a great way to bring the community together to celebrate the season.”
Parking is available in municipal lots located at Second and South Street, and the Farmer’s Market parking lot at Second and North Street.
Farmville North Pole and Hometown Holidays is sponsored by Farmville Downtown Partnership and is made possible by the support of the Farmville Rotary Club and Farmville Kiwanis Club.
The Farmville Downtown Partnership is a non-profit organization that is an accredited Virginia Main Street Community. The goal of FDP is to bring together the residents, merchants and students of Farmville to preserve the traditional downtown district’s role as the center of a historic community and to nurture future development.
