Katy Lewis, of Amelia, recently was awarded a Love of Learning award worth $500 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society.

Lewis, first-year graduate student and graduate assistant at Illinois State University, will use funds from the award to study abroad in Croatia.

Lewis was initiated into the Society in 2013 at Longwood University.
