Persons interested in representing District 4 on the School Board for Buckingham County Public Schools are invited to apply to serve until the next general elections on November 8, 2016.  Applicants must be a resident of District 4 in Buckingham County and registered to vote in Buckingham County.

Although the appointee will serve until the next general elections on November 8, 2016, the appointee may choose to run for the position on the School Board at that time, and if elected would serve the remainder of the unexpired term for District 4.

Persons interested must submit a letter of interest to the address listed below by the close of business, 4:30 p.m., on December 8, 2015.  A public hearing will be held during the December 9, 2015 School Board meeting at 2:00 p.m. at the Buckingham CTE building allowing public comment on the nominees.  Subsequently, a special School Board meeting will be held December 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buckingham CTE building appointing the new School Board member for District 4.

Note: The individual selected must fill out a Statement of Economic Interests. The Buckingham County School Board has the right to select any qualified person to fill this vacancy.
