Fuqua School hosted the Girls on the Run program this year for girls in grades 3-5.

There were 14 girls from both Fuqua School and Prince Edward County School on the team this fall.  Girls on the Run is a nationally-recognized recreation program that combines physical training for a non-competitive 3.1 mile running event with warm-ups, team-building activities, discussions and workouts that are age-appropriate. It is specifically designed to develop and enhance girls’ social, psychological and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences.  These lessons inspire girls to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem solving skills and make healthy decisions.
