Firefighters suspect an electrical problem started a fire in Prospect Saturday afternoon, which displaced an adult and three children at 4699 Prince Edward Highway, U.S. Route 460. The fire was reported shortly after 4 p.m., said Prospect fireman James Boettcher, who served as the incident commander. The fire was contained to a bedroom, he said. “There was pretty good damage inside the house.” Most of the damage in the house was caused by smoke, he said. No one was injured, and the American Red Cross is assisting the family. Volunteers from Prospect and Pamplin fire departments responded to the scene.
