Drug dealer gets jail time

A 30-year-old Farmville man will spend over two years in prison after pleading guilty in Prince Edward County Circuit Court recently to possession of marijuana and distributing cocaine.
Omark Foster pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of marijuana, three counts of distribution of cocaine and one count of distribution or possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance or marijuana on school property or within 1,000 feet of school property, according to Prince Edward County Commonwealth’s Attorney James Ennis.
The charges stem from incidents in July, August and September 2014.
According to Ennis, Foster received an active sentence of two years and four months in prison. A majority of the sentenced he received was suspended.
Foster was also sentenced to supervised probation, good behavior and restitution of over $1,000 to Virginia State Police and the Farmville Police Department.
