Julia Clevett, of Powhatan, gave a floral design demonstration at a joint meeting of the Cartersville and Fluvanna garden clubs in November. Julia is a national design instructor and master flower show judge. The Cartersville Garden Club has completed its “Cakes for the Holidays” fundraiser with the proceeds going to community projects including 4-H camp sponsorship, community beautification, Cumberland County Schools Inspiration Gardens and Blue Star Memorial Highway sign. At the December meeting club members will make Christmas arrangements for homebound friends.
