Reed re-elected as sheriff in Prince Edward

Democratic incumbent Wesley W. Reed has been re-elected sheriff of Prince Edward County.
Reed garnered over 71 percent of the votes cast. Independent Brandon Cummings trailed with 22 percent of the vote, while independent Dale Vaughan received about 7 percent.
Election results are unofficial until certified by the county’s electoral board.
