Power restored to over 1,400 homes

A reported power outage affected over 1,400 homes in central and western Buckingham County Saturday afternoon.
The power was restored at about 1:40 p.m.
According to the Central Virginia Electric Cooperative outage website, 1,439 meters were affected in across Buckingham from Glenmore to Andersonville.
One-hundred percent of the customers served by the electric cooperative’s Mt. Rush substation were without service, according to the outage website.
