This is in response to Fillmer Hevener’s attempt at satire on Oct. 29 (“Libraries are outdated.”)

I think Hevener has no idea what services our “new” Library in Farmville offers, how crowded the parking lot is everyday with cars whose owners are inside reading, doing real research, yes, using computers and letting their kids explore books; or how many people don’t have Internet or computers at home.

Hevener should spend a day in a library and see just how many people take advantage of all the necessary services they offer.
