Independent candidate Robert C. “Bobby” Jones has won the District One seat on the Buckingham Board of Supervisors by five votes.

Jones, who perviously served on the board, garnered 267 votes. Independent candidate Dennis H. Davis Jr. received 262 votes.

Jones received 50.28 percent of the vote, while Davis got 49.34 percent.
