Girl Scout Troop 882, started in 2012, has continued to grow. This is a tight-knit troop that enjoys having new experiences and learning life skills. In addition to earning multiple badges this year, the scouts created an official geocache and hid it in Holliday Lake State Park. They completed the Junior Ranger program at Bear Creek State Park and have learned skills in first aid, fire safety and emergency response and CPR through the Dillwyn Rescue Squad.  Upcoming projects include making flower arrangements for Heritage Hall, maintaining a garden at Ellis Acres and adopting a highway in Dillwyn next to Dollar General. Buckingham Girl Scouts will also hold a toy/jacket/canned food/blanket drive in December.
