CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
PUBLIC HEARING
The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Circuit Courtroom of Cumberland County in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct public hearings pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-1427, which such hearings may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following items and taking actions in furtherance thereof:
Conditional Use Permit (CUP) 15-11, Cartersville Fire Dep’t.- A Conditional Use Permit request of approximately 4.0 acres of property, currently zoned A-2, Agricultural to A-2, with Conditional Use Permit for Fire and Rescue facilities. This property is located at the southeast quadrant of Cartersville and Jennings Road, Address TBD, and is designated as Tax Map 23-A-55C. The property is not located in a growth area as designated on the Comprehensive Plan. The property is currently vacant and a volunteer fire station is planned. The property is located in Election District 1.
Rezoning (REZ) 15-06, Wise– A rezoning request of approximately 4.36 acres of property, currently zoned B-3, Limited Business to B-1 Business. This property is located at the southwest quadrant of Routes 60 and 13, Addresses for the property are 1293, 1307, 1309, and 1311 Anderson Highway and 4 Old Buckingham Road and are designated as Tax Map Numbers 57-A-54A, 57-A-55, and 57-A-58. The property is located in a high intensity growth area on the Comprehensive Plan and continued use for retail is planned. The property is located in Election District 3.
Rezoning 15-05 Bales– A rezoning request of approximately 13.57 acres of property, currently zoned R-2 to A-2, Agriculture. This property is located on Stoney Point Road, approximately 0.5 miles south of Anderson Highway and is identified as Tax Parcel 57-A-28A. The property is located in a moderate intensity growth area as designated on the Comprehensive Plan. The property is currently vacant and a residence is planned. The property is located in Election District 3.
Copies of the complete text of the above Conditional Use Permit and Rezonings are available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day. The public is invited to attend this hearing at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
