FARMVILLE — The Farmville Town Council approved an amendment of over $5 million to the town’s 2015-16 fiscal year budget on Thursday.

A public hearing was held concerning an addition to the $18.5 million budget. The amendment brought the budget to $23.5 million.

No one spoke during the hearing.

According to town documents, “the reason for the amendment is to be able to utilize grant funds that were awarded or pending in [fiscal year] 2014-15 and not carried over in the [fiscal year] 2015-16 town budget.”
