I worked at the Curdsville polling station in Buckingham on Nov. 3 and observed unusual behavior. The candidates for the District Three Seat on the board of supervisors, Don Matthews and Chuck Meek, actually sat side-by side-during most of the election and appeared to be very cordial to each other.

What kind of example are they trying to set — openness to other ideas and how to get along with opponents? I heard rumors that this kind of behavior occurred in other districts.

Congratulations to Matthews for his win. I hope we see more of this behavior.

I hope this didn’t cause the earthquake.
