Sailor’s Creek Reflections Oct. 11
Published 12:40 pm Thursday, October 1, 2015
Following the Battles of Sailor’s Creek, both Confederate and Union armies passed through the town of Farmville on Friday, April 7, leaving behind a wake of destruction. On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m., local author William Thompson will discuss his book “Fiery Friday,” which details the fateful day the Civil War visited Farmville. Each Rocking Chair Reflection program is free; donations to the Friends of Sailor’s Creek Battlefield that helps fund future educational programs are always welcome.
