FARMVILLE — The Farmville Town Council has forwarded a rezoning request to build duplex apartments on Layne Street to the town’s planning commission.

A parcel of property on Layne Street would need to be rezoned from business to residential, according to the town, to build the apartments.

Michael Papandrea is proposing the new apartments.

Both the council and the planning commission would need to hold public hearings before the request is voted on.
