Maranatha Baptist Church, 2204 Tuggle Road, will hold a special service Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.-  6 p.m. Guest speaker with emphasis on missions will be Rev. Bob Lee, of Lynchburg. The Singing Burrells (Clyde, Doris and daughter Diana) of Appomattox will sing during Sunday School at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow; all are invited.

Elizabeth Stone, of Dillwyn visited in the home of her brother James and his wife Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, on Sunday afternoon.

Buckingham Baptist Church, 24234 North James Madison Hwy., New Canton, will hold trunk or treat on Saturday, 6-8:30 p.m.

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc. of Buckingham will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of Buckingham County Public Library. All board members and interested persons are asked to attend. For information call (434) 983-2269. 

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will hold its annual Thanksgiving Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, 3932 Bell Road. All members and guest are cordially invited to bring a covered dish (meats and drinks furnished by the association). The Singing Burrells of Appomattox will sing.
