Blanton charged in burglary

A 22-year-old Farmville man has been charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny in connection to a burglary reported on Oct. 7.
According to Farmville Police, Anthony A. Blanton is charged in connection with the incident which was reported in the 500 block of Putney Street.
“Over the course of the investigation, two items of reported stolen property were recovered and suspects were developed,” said Farmville Police Chief Curtis Davis. “Based on the totality of the investigation, charges were filed … related to this offense.”
He said that the investigation is ongoing “with the potential for additional charges to be filed against other individuals.”
Blanton has a hearing date set for Nov. 23 in Prince Edward General District Court on the charges.
