FARMVILLE — Recently, “Virginia Living” magazine named Fuqua School among the top high schools and colleges in science, math and technology for 2015.
Featured in the magazine’s October edition, this comprehensive list seeks to highlight academic institutions based on their achievements in the categories of arts/humanities, science, math, technology, fine/visual arts, capital improvements, athletics and special needs. Among these achievements, the brand new aviation elective course (Aviation 101 and Airplane Construction) is noted as being a stand-out feature of the small private school in Farmville.
An excerpt from the article displayed in “Virginia Living” explained, “six students are taking flight this year with a two part class in introductory aviation and airplane construction. The new elective includes classroom work, an online aviation class and the chance to build an airplane.”
