Malcolm Booker Jr., Buckingham’s circuit court clerk, recently spoke to the Buckingham Chamber of Commerce. Booker, who has been serving in his position since the mid-1970s, is the third longest-serving clerk in the state. Booker discussed the importance of wills, how the Code of Virginia affects his position and his office and offered historical facts about Buckingham. Pictured with Booker, at left, are Chamber President Faye Shumaker and Chamber Vice-President Eddie Slagle.
