Trents Mill: Meetings and meals top events

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will meet Saturday at noon at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church on Rt. 15 north of Dillwyn. All members are invited to attend and bring a covered dish meal. The annual sing-a-long will follow. For further information, contact President Barry Miles, (804) 492-5806.
The 2015 annual Craddock Terry Shoe Factory breakfast meeting will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Teresa’s Place, 15055 N. James Madison Highway, Dillwyn. All former employees are welcome to attend (each person will pay for their meal). For information Annie May Miles at home, (434) 983-2543.
Spreading God’s Gifts, Inc. will hold a spaghetti dinner Saturday, 5-7 p.m., at the VFW Hall on Rt. 60 in Buckingham. Second Time Around will be in concert following the meal. Call (434) 983-2269 for more information.
Happy Birthday Wishes are sent out this week to Kevin Marion, of Cumberland, and Cece Waycaster, of Dillwyn (Aug. 11), and Karen Agnew, of Richmond (Aug. 13).
Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, recently visited Clarence Walters of Powhatan.
Sympathy is extended to the England family of Dillwyn. Bea England, 92, went home to be with the Lord July 27. A funeral service was held July 31 at Dunkum Funeral Home. She will be greatly missed by all.
A surprise birthday celebration for Faye Marion, of Cumberland, was held at a Dillwyn restaurant July 31 with 30 family members in attendence. Everyone enjoyed a great time.
Elizabeth Stone, of Dillwyn, visited her brother and wife, James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, Aug. 1.
A very special Happy Anniversary wish goes out to Steve and Peggy Bickford, of Arvonia, for Aug. 7.
Will Cloud, son of the Rev. Cameron and Lynn Cloud, of Cumberland, is a 2015 homeschool graduate. A celebration in his honor was given Aug. 3 at Hatcher Baptist Church where the Clouds minister. The church family and community wishes Will God’s blessings as he seeks to do God’s will for his life.
