CUMBERLAND — Blue Door Mini Storage could soon be setting up shop in Cumberland County.
According to Sara Carter, the county’s zoning administrator and planning director, Mike Yoder has filed a conditional use permit to operate the business, which could include four 30-by-150 foot buildings on Plank Road about one mile north of Airport Road.
“They’re going to start with two, and then they’re showing a total of four on the plan,” Carter said of the proposed buildings.
“If I can do one or two … to start with, depending on how they do, I won’t do anymore or I’ll just add as I can,” said Yoder of the project.
“The one that I’m kind of really looking at probably doing first would be about 30 storage units,” he said.
A public hearing on the permit is set for the Sept. 21 planning commission meeting at 6:30 p.m.
