Miles, a reporter for The Farmville Herald since 2013, will lead news-gathering operations of The Herald and related print and digital products.
“Jordan is a gifted journalist who has earned this opportunity with hard work,
passion for his craft, tireless commitment to our newspaper’s success, and a clear vision of where we want to go as a news organization,” said Herald Publisher Steve Stewart, who announced the appointment last week. “He is surrounded by a talented and hard-working staff who will join with Jordan in making our newspapers and websites among the very best in Virginia.”

Before joining The Herald, Miles worked for The Cumberland Bulletin, The Buckingham Beacon and WFLO radio station.
“I’m humbled and excited to be in this position of service to the good people of the heart of Virginia and the best colleagues one could ask for,” said Miles. “Our newspapers will continue to play a huge part in the lives of area residents and become more resourceful as time progresses.”
Miles enjoys working on his grandparents’ farm in Glenmore. He is a member of the Buckingham Chamber of Commerce, the Buckingham Lions Club and Theta Chi fraternity. He attends Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Glenmore.
