Graduation for the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer class was held on June 18. Class members complete a 50-hour course that includes two take home exams and a short presentation given by each trainee during class. Following the classroom portion, volunteers become interns and must complete 50 volunteer hours on approved projects to become Master Gardener volunteers.
