A three-alarm fire destroyed a home on Trice’s Lake Road on Thursday afternoon.

According to Bradley Ingle, the assistant chief of the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was reported shortly after 12 p.m.

The single-story home, at 13 Trice’s Lake Road, was fully engulfed when he arrived on scene, said Ingle.

There’s no word on the cause of the blaze.

In addition to Cumberland, volunteer firefighters from Cartersville and Goochland responded to the scene.
