Happy birthday wishes are sent out to Jane Grey, of Green Bay, and Florence Miles, of Rice, celebrating on July 12, and Steve Morris and Grace Martin, of Dillwyn, celebrating on July 13.
Congratulations to Lee and Sandy Sullivan, of Cumberland, who will be celebrating their anniversary on Sunday.
Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Jane Cooke and her grandson Sam Givens, of Brookneal, Susie Taylor, of Dillwyn, and Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, all enjoyed an afternoon of great fellowship and fun at a Lynchburg restaurant on Wednesday.
Teresa’s Place, located at 15055 North James Madison Highway in Dillwyn (next to Sprouses Corner), continues their second summer Cruise-In featuring a Chevy/GM Spotlight Cruise on July 18 from 5-8:30 p.m. All makes and models are welcome. Loaves of Love Food Pantry, operated by the Seven Day Adventist Church in Cartersville, aims to assist Cumberland County residents which includes Cartersville. The next food distribution will be held July 16 from 2-4:30 p.m. for all food recipients. Individuals must bring in two forms of ID, a photo ID and proof of Cumberland residence (such as an electric bill, tax bill or voter ID etc). Due to summer heat, appointments are recommended. Tax deductible donations are appreciated and will help obtain more food.
Recipients are also asked to bring their own bags. Note: All food boxes are severed on a first-come first-served basis.
Buckingham Baptist Church located at 24234 North James Madison Highway in Arvonia has Bible Study each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and Children In Action Bible Class for ages 5 years to 11 years old.

Cedar Baptist Church, located at 3932 Bell Road, will host Vacation Bible School on July 12-16 from 6-9 p.m. for ages 2 to high school. Also there will be adult classes from 7-8 p.m. This year’s theme will be “To The Edge — Encounter The God Of The Universe.” Pastor Tommy Armstrong and the congregation cordially invite everyone to attend.
