The Virginia Historical Society will hold a special screening of their groundbreaking short film, “Virginia Voices,” on Saturday, July 11, from 1-2 p.m. at the Moton Museum in Farmville. A question and answer session with the film’s producer, Jeff Boedeker, and Lizzie Oglesby, of the Virginia Historical Societ,y will immediately follow the film.

A year and a half in the making, “Virginia Voices” incorporates crowd sourced footage, professionally shot pieces and segments filmed by Virginians who were given a camera to capture their lives, hopes and dreams. This new way of filmmaking reveals an unfiltered portrait of Virginians today.
