The Cumberland County Planning Commission will meet on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in Room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct public hearings pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following items and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

Rezoning 15-04 Spears– A rezoning request of approximately 2.0 acres of property, currently zoned R-2 with a Conditional Use Permit for a restaurant to B-1, Business.    This property is located at 1875 Anderson Highway, Tax Parcel 65-A3-A-49.  The property is located in a high intensity growth area as designated on the Comprehensive Plan.  The property is currently in use as a restaurant and is planned to continue as a restaurant.  The property is located in Election District 3.

Copies of the complete text of the proposed rezoning is available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day.  The public is invited to attend this hearing at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
