A satisfactory score on the English placement test is required before enrolling, but this test can be completed during the summer at the Appomattox Center by calling (434) 832-7200 to schedule an appointment.

Also newsworthy for the Appomattox Center is a welcome for Natalie Prue who has assumed the duties as our full-time administrative and support person.

She will be managing the office for the Appomattox Center as well as assisting students and staff with testing, scheduling appointments, providing information and being the first contact with visitors to the center.

A part-time administrative assistant will be hired this summer to work with Prue in Appomattox.

More information about that position can be found on the CVCC website or by calling 434-832-7200.

The CVCC Appomattox Center is conveniently located at the Carver-Price Educational Complex on Business 460.

The center offers citizens the opportunity to take classes close to home, saving both time and gas.

In addition to classes, the center provides other services such as assistance with the admissions process, registering for classes, academic advising, applying for financial aid and placement testing.

Classes for the fall semester begin on Monday, August 24.   We are open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. – noon on Fridays during June and July, but will resume the weekly schedule on August 1.
