A nephrologist is a physician who specializes in kidney disease and hypertension. This type of medical doctor sees patients with acute and chronic disorders of the kidneys that may lead to kidney failure; this, in turn, interferes with the body’s ability to eliminate wastes and excess fluid. A nephrologist can diagnose and treat such conditions with proper diet and medications and coordinating dialysis and transplant care if and when indicated.

Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Sathnur, and K. C. General Hospital, Bangalore. His residency training was completed in Internal Medicine at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY. He is certified in Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS). Dr. Bali’s fellowship training in nephrology took place at the University of Virginia Health System, Charlottesville.
