DILLWYN — Walter Walker has been named the maintenance supervisor at the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Dillwyn Area Headquarters.

Walker joined VDOT in 2006 as a transportation operator at the Cumberland Area Headquarters and transferred to the Dillwyn Area Headquarters in 2008. In 2010, he completed VDOT’s Maintenance Supervisor Training and has served in the maintenance supervisor role on several occasions. Prior to joining VDOT, Walker was employed as a construction foreman for May Brothers Construction. Walker assumed his new role in May.
