The Children’s Memorial Gardens at Cumberland Elementary School was dedicated in memory of young students who have passed and in honor of their families and friends. The Memorial Gardens project is an ongoing, joint effort by CES students, Team WIN (“What’s Important Now,” focusing on student development), and the Cumberland Garden Club to beautify the school grounds and to honor the community.  Pictured above, paving stones, hand-painted by elementary students in first through third grades, were placed in the gardens by a group of second grade students.
