Enjoy an evening on High Bridge Trail on Saturday, June 27, as outdoor enthusiast and local author Francis Wood tells tales of camping at 8:45 p.m. in the pine grove close to the River Road parking lot. It will be Open Trail Night and the park will be open between Farmville and Rice for late evening walks and bicycling until 10:30 p.m. The fireflies should present an impressive view from High Bridge.

The program is free, but a parking fee of $4 per vehicle will apply to visitors parking at the River Road access. Visitors who bicycle from Farmville or Rice are required to have an operating headlight and rear reflector. Bring water, as there is none available along the trail.
