John R. Crews III, of Dillwyn, took the checkered flag and recorded a victory on Saturday, May 9, at the Natural Bridge Speedway. This was his first career win in the Mini Modified Division and his first victory since leaving go-kart racing. It was also his fourth Top 5 finish in four races. The weekend before, 14-year-old Crews also finished second at Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro.
