The Southside SPCA April Field of Dreams Dog of the Month is Emmylou.

Emmylou is a sweetheart of a dog, dropping to the ground for a belly rub every time she sees someone coming. Rescued from an euthanizing animal control, she was one of 35 dogs taken from a harder’s home. She relishes all the time and attention she is now getting.

Emmylou is ready to leave that life behind her and would prefer a home where she can be the center of attention. At two years and 45 pounds, she’s the perfect size and age for some lucky family. She would love a fenced in yard to explore and lounge in the sun, but inside by your side is where she’d prefer to be.
