“Landscape Oil Painting,” a Central Virginia Arts workshop, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 10 am to 3 pm at the Fine Arts Studio, Winston Hall, Hampden-Sydney College. Marjorie Perrin returns after presenting a very successful oil painting workshop in the fall.
In this workshop, participants explore how to use color and form to create an expressive landscape painting with oil paints. A demonstration shows how to see color and simple shapes as a starting point and how to create atmospheric perspective and depth while developing individual styles.
Perrin is instructor of fine arts painting and drawing at the Studio School, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. She holds a BFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, a liberal arts degree from Randolph Macon Woman’s College, and has also studied at The Art Students League of New York and at Virginia Commonwealth University.
