High Bridge Trail State Park invites all area veterans and their families to participate in a Veterans Day “Civil War History Tour” on Tuesday, November 11, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Join us on High Bridge to honor all veterans from the past to the present and learn of the first and second battles of High Bridge during the final days of the Civil War. There will be a van at the River Road parking lot for the veterans and their families who may need a ride to High Bridge. The Friends Group members will provide light refreshments at the Cumberland approach to High Bridge.

In honoring all veterans High Bridge will waive the parking fee for everyone on this day. Please plan on arriving at the River Road parking area around 10 a.m. to allow plenty of time to walk to the bridge. Remember to bring plenty of water as none will be available.
