Robert George Sweeney, 76

GREEN BAY, July 24 — Robert George Sweeney, 76, of Green Bay, died at his home Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He was retired from the Navy. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.

Mr. Sweeney is survived by his wife, Kathryn and Kathryn’s grandson, Eric Owenby and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Harold Sweeney and his mother, Gertrude Sweeney.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 25 at 11 a.m. in the Amelia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.

Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home.
