PROSPECT, July 1 — Buddy Jim LeWarne, 83, of Prospect, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was born in Prince Edward County to the late David H. and Rhodie Harris LeWarne on May 14, 1931.

He worked as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed collecting trains and trucks.

Mr. LeWarne was married to the late Virginia B. LeWarne and is survived by their children, Nancy Havens (Wayne) of Richmond, James Edward LeWarne of Prospect, Geneva Elder (Billy) of Pamplin, and Brenda LeWarne of Prospect; brothers, John Scott LeWarne and K. Lemore LeWarne and numerous half-sisters and brothers; six grandchildren, Anthony Chadwick Franklin, Cary Roxanne Callahan, Toni Lynn Ranson, Virginia Faye LeWarne, Robin Lee Madison, and Robert Houston LeWarne and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers, William Luke LeWarne and Edward James LeWarne.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 11 a.m. in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1 (tonight) from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at the funeral home.
