JUNE 3 — Maggie Dunevant Blanton, 90, of Farmville, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014. She was born September 20, 1923 to the late Richard P. and Katie D. Dunevant in Buckingham County. She was a devoted member of Browns Presbyterian Church.
She is the widow of Henry A. Blanton III and is survived by three sons, Henry A. Blanton IV and his wife, Joan of Cumberland, Richard S. Blanton and his wife, Libby of Cumberland and Cary A. Blanton of Cumberland and his companion, Carolyn Maples of Appomattox; a brother, Warren F. Dunevant of Lynchburg; two sisters, Evelyn D. Berryman of Williston, FL and Barbara D. Hollister of Moseley; four grandchildren, Helene A. Blanton, Henry A. Blanton V, Holly A. Blanton and Heidi Blanton-Pohl; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Richard M. Dunevant.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 5 at 11 a.m. in the Browns Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
