NORTH CAROLINA, April 1 — Lillian Adline Sims Shelton, 103, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born November 10, 1910 in Cumberland.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by a daughter, Andreal Shelton of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Neater Sims of Cumberland; a special friend, Eunice Whitehurst, of Farmville; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday at Tearwallet Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Sandy Carrington, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
