On Saturday, April 26, celebrate Earth Week by joining a beautification project at Bear Creek Lake State Park.

This will also be “Fill a Canoe” Day from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to help fill a canoe with non-perishable food goods that will be donated to the Cumberland Food Bank. Anyone donating four or more items will receive a coupon good for a free half-hour boat rental during normal rental operating hours. Please contact the park for information.

On Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. join the free Recycle Hike to see how the earth recycles itself and how to play a better part. At 10:00 a.m. Sunday April 27, bring an empty, rinsed two- liter bottle to the Acorn Loop picnic shelter and recycle it into a bird feeder.
