BUCKINGHAM — School board members in Buckingham unanimously voted Wednesday afternoon to schedule eight makeup school days following several winter storms that resulted in days missed during the 2013-2014 school year.

Thursday, March 27, previously a teacher workday, is now a regular school day for students. Three days previously slated for spring break, April 14, 15, and 21, are all now school days, along with June 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Graduation is set for Saturday, June 14, according to Division Superintendent Dr. Cecil Snead, who recommended the new eight-day makeup schedule.

Snead detailed that the only makeup day the division has scheduled and completed was February 17.

The division has missed 12 school days this year.
